"Do you like her?" the spider woman asked. "I have been following the two of you at a distance for a time now… it seems you have become close, no? But I told her… oh, I told her… I could wait. I would capture that one. Such a promise I made good on, you see."

Haley looked at the defeated Emily. She was not moving at all and Haley couldn't tell in the low light conditions if she was even breathing anymore. But a distinctive two pronged bite wound on her neck, virtually bloodless, told the story of the status quo. Haley grunted and squirmed.

"Oh, does the sight bother you? Or is that you would like to join her?"

Haley mumbled incoherently in her gag.

"Hmm. This is becoming inconvenient. I dislike simply talking to myself. Let's do something about that, yes?"
